New Employee Scheduling Software from ShiftNote Makes Shift Swapping Easier
Online scheduling software is convenient because it allows managers to create and edit schedules online, making shift swaps easier and more efficient, which is why the new ShiftNote Scheduler from ShiftNote is making headway in the industry. This employee scheduling solution allows teams to create and manage schedules online so employees can swap shifts and request time offs without interrupting the shift flow.
The scheduling tool works as add-on software to the existing suite of Web-based management tools, allowing shift managers to make entries to the daily log, track important data such as sales and labor stats, assign tasks, and store documents from anywhere they have Internet access, including on mobile devices.
The company claims ShiftNote Scheduler will revolutionize the way employees swap shifts as it turns the entire process digital. Employees have the ability to trade shifts online and request time off and receive response from management. Approving shift requests can happen with the push of a button, and have the associated schedules updated automatically.
"Our goal at ShiftNote has always been to make the life of a shift manager easier," said Matt Thompson, ShiftNote CEO. "We designed every aspect of the ShiftNote Scheduler with that concept in mind."
An additional benefit of ShiftNote is that managers also get a suite of forecasting tools that will help them minimize labor costs while maximizing sales. With automatic updating of schedules, managers no longer have to keep track of time off requests from team members. ShiftNote stores the details when a new schedule is created.
The new scheduling software can also be used to track overtime and set holiday pay. Managers can also select schedule templates to create schedules for future.
In contrast to most scheduling software solutions that target call centers, ShiftNote Scheduler targets multi-unit restaurants, hotels and resorts, retail stores, healthcare facilities, municipal departments, and industrial plants.
The software is currently being used by Landry's, California Pizza Kitchen, Tommy Bahama, The Double Tree by Hilton, Holiday Inn Express, Famous Dave's, Panera Bread and Smokey Bones.
