Unified Communications and the Cloud

The cloud has had a transformative effect on many aspects of the business world, and unified communications is no exception. The rise of the cloud has affected the way unified communications solutions are designed and used, as well as how customers can access them.


With the cloud, customers can better access UC services without making large investments in hardware or software. Not only that, but it provides access to virtualized services, such as document sharing and video conferencing, which has always been a big part of unified communications.


Furthermore, BYOD has been made possible heavily in part to the cloud and UC. Because of the way unified communications allows people to communicate and collaborate across distances and devices, and how the cloud can similarly deliver software solutions, it’s become far more possible, and in fact convenient, to use one’s own device of choice, rather than a company-issued one...
