Verint Helps Reinvent Teachers Lounge
I believe the children are our future – as scary as envisioning Gen-Z in power may be – and as such we need to teach them well and let them lead the way. Education is complete upheaval across the globe, shifting from physical to virtual has presented myriad challenges since the pandemic started, and as educators find their bearings The Engagement Company is lighting the way.
Verint announced that Newsela is leveraging the Community solution to reach teachers and educators across the country, and empower them with access to collaboration and best practice.
Nearly three million teachers and 40 million students are registered with Newsela for its personalized content crafted with student interests, instructional activities and accountability in mind. And 2020 introduced a brave new world.
With Fall 2020 marking another semester with unique educator and student challenges, the community couldn’t have come at a better time.
Since Newsela’s community launch in August, it is seeing an average of 1,500 new members each week, and today is 22,000 strong. It’s easy to see the Newsela appeal, as it takes real-world content and makes it “instruction ready” for K-12 classrooms. The community is made up of specialized groups, offering educators a means to exchange information and serve as a trusted resource to overcome remote-learning obstacles.
"Verint’s (News - Alert) Community solution has scaled to help the community become an extension of our product and meet the needs of our members," said Adriel Sanchez, Newsela CMO. "The Newsela Community recently went live, and it has already proven to be a trusted place for educators to go to have a conversation among peers and share experiences ranging from what content is most engaging to how to stay sane in these challenging days. It’s quickly become a place where our members are going to lean on each other and get the support they need."
The “Teachers Lounge” would never be the same.
