Innovation Works Provides Seed Investment to Kextil
Innovation Works has provided seed funding to support continued development of the Kextil software suite and the rollout of new customers. Kextil is the developer of the first contextual voice enabled mobile workforce software for Field Service. The company will use a part of the funding to port the application to multiple mobile platforms.
Kextil sees Innovation Works as more than just a source of expansion capital. It views the company as a strategic investor and notes that its investment is recognized as a seal of approval for Pennsylvania-based companies.
“Innovation Works' portfolio companies have an outstanding record of attracting follow on institutional funding, and we are excited to be working with them to accelerate Kextil's growth,” said Jonathan Berman, Kextil founder and CEO, in a statement.
Kextil notes that its voice platform can open up significant operational improvement opportunities that were previously considered unreachable with existing solutions.
This voice platform can deliver several benefits such as remove documentation time, ensure compliance with best practices, and cut down the need for repeat truck rolls.
Kextil software is smart, understands contextual voice commands and enables intelligent guidance and query for the technician through the entire maintenance and repair process.
“We believe in their vision of changing the way Field Service work is performed - making each field tech more productive and cost-effective,” said Richard Lunak, president and CEO for Innovation Works. “Simultaneously, Kextil's spoken dialog innovations position it well in a hot space that is attracting venture capital and strategic investment.”
