Minnie's Food Pantry Turns to Cloud Communications

Poverty and homelessness have long plagued the globe, and this week the cloud is putting its best foot forward to help the cause. Already embraced by the enterprise, this week cloud communications partnered with a not-for-profit to make a difference.

Minnie’s Food Pantry, a 501 C-3 organization, announced a new partnership with Mitel  to power collaboration and communication with a cloud-based solution to support efforts to supply families in need with the food and resources required.

“Communications is an integral part of what we do, so we want make sure we have the best system in place. This system, and our partnership with Mitel, is priceless because it’s going to allow us to work more efficiently and raise more donor dollars,” said Cheryl Jackson, Founder, Minnie’s Food Pantry. “In the future, we're becoming a resource center and we're going to be successful because we have the communication element in process, and in place, to help us to do that. It's going to be amazing.”

The new deployment provides Minnie’s with a robust communications infrastructure, user friendly collaboration and contact center applications. Now, donors and clients receive an improved, consistent experience, where team members enjoy the spoils of a seamless collaboration experience across devices.

Minnie’s was founded in 2008 by Cheryl Jackson as a tribute to her late mother, Minnie Hawthorne-Ewing. Henceforth, the not-for-profit’s demand grew from reputation for the personalized experience delivered. Now, cloud communication and collaboration tools will be central to advancing this mission.
