Vonage Includes Video Support for Jumper.ai Application
This week, cloud communications company Vonage announced video capabilities are now included in the recently acquired Jumper.ai conversational commerce application. With the support of Vonage (News - Alert) Video Express, agents using Jumper.ai can engage in video interactions with customers from the same interface used for social media engagement and direct messaging.
When it comes to retail activities, convenience is everything. Customers no longer have the patience to talk on the phone or in email with businesses to get the support they need. As a result, social media and messaging features are growing in popularity, with Vonage research finding one in five consumers uses live-chat or in-app chat on a daily basis.
However, complex issues and questions can be difficult to explain with text, often requiring human interaction to complete the task. With this integration, agents can quickly engage in video conversation with customers with the click of a single button. Not only does this feature improve the accuracy of service requests, but allows agents to communicate with customers on a more personal level.
"The video capabilities added to Jumper.ai, Vonage's Conversational Commerce application, will enhance interactions between brands and consumers across the full spectrum of customer engagement points," said Yash Kotak, Senior Director, Product Management at Vonage and Founder of Jumper.ai. "Vonage continues to innovate to meet customers' evolving needs, with embedded commerce capabilities to drive more engaging, personalized experiences from anywhere, on any channel."
