Visix Launches Niche Version of PowerPoint Scheduling Software

By Rajani Baburajan, Call Center Scheduling Contributor

Call center industry is probably the one that can use the scheduling software in the most effective manner. Monet, a provider of call center scheduling software, recently stated that scheduling software solutions provide call centers with real-time updates that adjust to forecasts and schedules.

In addition to call centers, scheduling software can also be used for content management applications.

In one of the recent developments in this segment, Visix, which designs, develops and supports a suite of browser-based digital signage products, announced the launch of a niche version of its PowerPoint scheduling software.

The new APPOINTwmv builds on the success of Visix's APPOINT PowerPoint scheduling software for digital signage. APPOINT doesn't require a lot of complex network knowledge or support, but allows users to simply publish their PowerPoint presentations to a schedule or apply high-quality digital signage themes with multi-zone content.

APPOINTwmv includes everything in APPOINT with the exception of scheduling and player controls. The software is designed to meet the needs of clients that already have digital signage software that either isn't easy to use, or who prefer to create their content in PowerPoint.

The software allows users to publish their presentations as videos from APPOINTwmv and schedule them for playback in any content management scheduling system, the company said. APPOINTwmv also renders PowerPoint presentations faster than the PowerPoint export feature, allowing users to continue working in PowerPoint while rendering.

“This is a great product for anyone frustrated by complicated creative tools in their software," said Sean Matthews, president of Visix, in a statement. "Almost every digital signage user is creating at least some of their messages in PowerPoint. This gives them a fast, easy way to render those presentations for quick scheduling."

Visix also provides users with a selection of templates from APPOINTwmv's professionally-designed theme library. They can create messages from those templates, and render them out as videos that can be imported into any signage application.

APPOINTwmv is available at a price of $299 for a single user license from the company website.
