Semafone Brings Secure Payment Transactions to Unytalk
The rate at which online payments are taking place today continues to climb. With virtual assistants and AI taking the place of human agents, and as trust in the online channel for payments happens, it's important that businesses invest in security solutions that help them stay compliant while maintaining loyal customers.
In a move to bring their data security and multi-channel compliance solutions to more customer interactions, Semafone partnered with Unytalk Inc. to incorporate its Cardprotect Relay+ offering into Unytalk’s cloud solution for real-time messaging, voice and video.
Unytalk CEO Mahendra Penumathsa commented that the partnership is a great move as consumers today are expecting companies to be available on all channels, at all times.
“Chat, in particular, has become increasingly popular,” Penumathsa said.
Unytalk describes itself as a “one-stop shop” for customer facing cloud communications for service providers in healthcare, retail, consulting, education, media and business services.
“While companies have embraced the engagement opportunity of chat, the use cases have been limited because payment opportunities in chat were restricted. With Semafone, we can seamlessly integrate payment solutions not only into chat, but every other available channel, and in a rapid manner, which empowers our customers to provide a unified, secure and frictionless customer experience,” commented Penumathsa.
With Cardprotect Relay+, businesses have the opportunity to securely accept payments via whichever digital engagement channel their customer chooses. Through secure digital payment hyperlinks, the are able to simplify the secure payment process and still remain compliant with PCI (News - Alert) DSS and other regulations.
On the merchant end, Cardprotect Relay+ also provides real-time progress updates so they can track when a link is opened, if payment information has been collected and that it has been successfully processed.
