Welch's Upgrades Business Communications

Welch’s, the world’s leading seller of Concord and Niagara grape-based products, is a coop organization of more than 800 family farmers located across the U.S. and Ontario, Canada. One hundred percent of company profits go back to the farmers that grow the grapes. Like most companies, Welch’s core competency is not building and enabling intelligent communications experiences for customers and employees.


Avaya’s job IS building and enabling communications experiences. The company builds open, converged and innovative solutions to enhance and simplify communications and collaboration – in the cloud, on-premise or a hybrid of both. When Welch’s needed to upgrade its communications infrastructure, it looked to Avaya for a solution.

Avaya IX Workplace is part of the Avaya Intelligent Xperiences - or Avaya IX - portfolio of solutions for converged contact center, unified communications (UC) and collaboration. Avaya IX Workplaces offers companies with large customer support operations to merge their calling, messaging, meetings, mobility and team collaboration capabilities into one easy to use platform that offers improved user and customer experiences.

Thanks to the upgrade, Welch’s reported that it has been able to significantly increase the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations and provide for superior customer engagement with customers all over the world.

In addition to a merged communication platform and Avaya’s advanced desktop IP phones, Avaya IX Workplace has provided Welch’s with improved reliability and effectiveness in business communications, and the redundancy between locations required by a large, distributed business organization.
