Pronexus and Aculab Introduce EasiVoIP

Pronexus Inc., the only provider of .NET-based IVR and speech software solutions, and Aculab, a leading provider of enabling technology for the communications market, today announced the availability of EasiVoIP - a special package that enables developers to create and test software-based IP telephony applications - at no cost.

EasiVoIP combines Prosody S host media processing resources from Aculab and the VBVoice development toolkit from Pronexus. The EasiVoIP bundle helps solution providers quickly develop IP based applications with no up front product purchase, thus providing an easy way to test host media processing (HMP) as an alternative to low density hardware.

Available at no cost from the Pronexus website, the EasiVoIP bundle offers:

Pronexus VBVoice 5.3, 30 day enhanced evaluation version. VBVoice is the first rapid application development tool for telephony and speech to blend high level GUI with sophisticated programming in a .NET environment. VBVoice allows developers to easily leverage the power of Prosody S direct from the call flow of their application. Four runtime licences are included.

Four channels of Aculab's Prosody S host media processing resources enabling developers to cost effectively build software-only IP telephony applications such as IVRs and auto-attendants. Prosody S offers users a viable alternative to traditional, hardware-based solutions and allows them to experience the benefits of software-only IP telephony: lower total cost of ownership and greater deployment flexibility.

"Voice over IP applications are increasingly being deployed in enterprise and call centre environments. Prosody S opens up the market for solution providers looking to target small to medium enterprises, where the need for dedicated IP resources was a barrier," commented Mike Matthews, Head of Product Marketing at Aculab. "EasiVoIP makes it even easier for enterprise developers to benefit from VoIP technology by allowing them to evaluate the potential for Voice over IP before committing to a fully fledged deployment."

"VBVoice 5.3 lets developers realize the promise of hardware-less IP telephony," commented Gary T. Hannah, President and CEO at Pronexus. "We are pleased to offer developers the opportunity to experience the power of Prosody S through this bundle, without having to make any investment."

This week, Mike Donoghue, Vice President of Sales for the Americas Region at Aculab will deliver a keynote address at TMCs 2nd Annual VoIP Developer Conference (www.voipdeveloper.com) in San Francisco on Wednesday, August 3rd at 8:30 am. His address is open to all registered attendees.
