8x8 Riding Microsoft Teams Adoption Momentum

There are blue skies ahead for cloud communications. No countdown needed, nor clearance from the tower. This necessary tool of the digital age is ascending into the ethos, serving as a lifeline for SMBs to the enterprise. In October, Microsoft reported the daily number of active Microsoft Teams users at 115 million, jumping from 75 million back in April.

8x8, like many communications providers, is seeing prodigious growth for its 8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams, while we see demand skyrocket for remote collaboration solutions. It is crediting success to seamless integration and the ability to operate from anywhere.

“The very deep integration that 8×8 has developed treats Microsoft Teams as a first-class citizen, and vice versa. There is no bait-and-switch here. 8×8 Voice for Microsoft Teams actually enables and betters a ‘pure’ Microsoft Teams solution,” said Dave Michels, founder and principal analyst at TalkingPointz in a recent report about 8×8 Voice for Microsoft Teams.

The cloud communications company announced the acquisition of tens of thousands of seats spanning Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe in the previous quarter. From Orix Australia (leading fleet management firm) and a U.K. district council, to AmerCareRoyal and Case Paper here in the U.S, 8x8 is navigating the globe.

In addition, 8x8 also unveiled a partnership with leading Microsoft supplier to MSPs, Pax8.

“8×8’s services are delivered seamlessly and transparently to end-users via the Microsoft Teams app. The experience is more seamless than cloud-bot integrations. It even outshines Microsoft’s own UCaaS offer in multiple ways, including reliability, global availability, analytics, and versatility,” Michels continued.

It’s difficult to say when this meteoric rise will come to close, but in the meantime, providers are positioned to reap the benefits of mounting demand.
