Navigating the job market can prove more difficult than Columbus making his way to the new world. Needless to say, we don’t always end up on the career path we intended, but while job hunting any and all available resources are crucial in supporting these efforts. One of these trusted resources is Glassdoor.

This week, Nextiva was named one of the Best Places to Work in 2020 by the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards. The Glassdoor awards program is determined entirely by employee feedback on their jobs, companies and work environments.

“We’re proud to have been named a best place to work thanks to our team’s reviews on Glassdoor – this goes a long way to showcase the extraordinary company we’ve built together,” said Mark Green, Nextiva’s chief people officer. “What makes Nextiva special is our incredible talent and the entrepreneurial spirit we have been able to maintain, even as the company has scaled to over 1,000 people across the globe. We believe in our brand promise of delivering Amazing Service both to our external customers and our internal teams. We are a company that works hard and has fun while creating and supporting innovative communication solutions.”

This marks the 12th iteration of the Glassdoor awards program. Driven by company reviews shared between October 23, 2018 and October 21, 2019. Companies with more than 1,000 employees and at least 75 ratings in work/life balance, career opportunities, culture and values, compensation and benefits, senior management and the company overall were put through Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm to ensure significant and credible results.

“This year marks the shift to a culture-first decade in the workplace, and Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Awards winners are employers that are prioritizing culture, mission, and employees at the heart of everything they do. By doing so, their employees have spoken and are recognizing them truly as the Best Places to Work in 2020,” said Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor president, chief operating officer and incoming chief executive officer. “In addition to putting culture and mission at the core of how they operate, this year’s winners also stand out for promoting transparency with employees, offering career growth opportunities, and providing work driven by impact and purpose. Congratulations go to all of the exceptional employers this year who stand out in the eyes of their employees.”

For job seekers, Glassdoor is a valued resource to provide visibility into a prospective employer. Nextiva is a rapidly expanding cloud communications company – good to know it’s a great place to work too!
