Verizon Adds Zoom to Stable of Business Solutions

Verizon and Zoom unveiled a new partnership enabling Verizon to provide its global customers with a robust unified communications solution, with Zoom’s cloud-powered unified communications platform the straw stirring the drink, so to speak.

“This agreement with Verizon is the epitome of our strategy to work with the top global service providers to extend the reach of Zoom around the world. It will allow Verizon customers from SMB to enterprise to enjoy our reliable and innovative video communications platform on Verizon’s best-in-class network,” said Eric S. Yuan, chief executive officer of Zoom.

Available to Verizon business customers as a cloud service, the Zoom addition will make immediate impact. Now, all Verizon customers in more than 50 countries around the globe gain access to toll free and call-me numbers, and users can join Zoom meetings for no additional charge.

Verizon will address the heavy lifting of adoption, training and technical support freeing up the Zoom team from traditional service provider responsibilities.
