Nextiva is leading the way toward innovation within the business VoIP space. In part one of this series, we discussed the company’s robust solutions and products within its ever-growing suite. Today, we’ll look at how the business VoIP expert sets itself apart from others in the space, what is currently going on in the business VoIP industry and where it is headed, and some exciting innovations the company is currently working on.

First, when asked how Nextiva differs from other business VoIP providers, Yaniv Masjedi, vice president of Nextiva commented, “Our technology is great and our platform is a hybrid of something we built internally and with BroadSoft, a leading communications platform. Beyond the clear technological advances, it’s our customer service that really differentiates Nextiva. Our quick, knowledgeable and efficient customer service that’s real, doesn’t have any agent scripts and is based in the U.S. has proven to be a successful equation thus far.”

One big point that sometimes gets overlooked is the firm’s great service, something that starts with what it does internally. Making a big effort to take the steps needed to support a strong workplace, Masjedi added, “We can talk all day about amazing service but the reality is it starts in our office before we can assist any of our customers. We truly value each and every one of our employees because they contribute to this mission.”

What steps does the Arizona-based unified communications (UC) provider take to ensure its workforce remains highly satisfied? Some elements include larger than typical workstations you would see in an ordinary office, a game room, and last but definitely not least, always available free food. In fact, in a recent survey conducted by the business, findings proved the overwhelming value of food in the workplace. All of these factors are, of course, then coupled with traditional benefits like healthcare and dental care as well as countless team-building events including ping-pong tournaments, flag football, and even group happy hours.

He commented, “Nextiva is a really a close knit family rather than just a place where you come to work at eight leave at five and don’t talk to anyone. Things we do build camaraderie amongst our entire team.”

Today, the business VoIP space is seeing the increasingly popular trend of companies moving away from traditional telecom carriers and seeking out information in regards to the overwhelming benefits of UC in the cloud. Thus, that penetration and adoption continues to rise and this is very exciting for the business VoIP provider.

“Seeing this transition as well as the opportunity to move key technology such as video conferencing to a business environment is enabling these next-generation platforms to be accepted much more widely and these capabilities will continue to advance over the long term,” according to Masjedi.
