How is Business VoIP Provider Nextiva Breaking Away from Competitors? - Part One

April 04, 2013

Arizona-based Nextiva was officially founded in 2008, yet it was back in 2005 that the light bulb went off in realizing the strong need to create a business VoIP phone system for growing small to medium-sized businesses (SMB).

This idea came about after closely analyzing the market and realizing there really wasn’t much of a selection in terms of flexibility, and that most products available to these sized firms were overcompensated, overpriced, and simply not effective.

This in turn encouraged the business VoIP provider to step up the plate, delivering technology that could be leveraged at an affordable price point coupled with a real passion for excellent customer service.

Thus, Nextiva is continuously highlighted for bringing intuitive technological solutions to market that SMBs previously couldn’t use due to costly price tags.

I recently had the chance to speak with Yaniv Masjedi, vice president of Nextiva, about all of the products and solutions within the organization’s wide portfolio and its value proposition.

According to Masjedi, “We really view ourselves as a unified communications (UC) provider in the cloud. Whether users are attempting to leverage our capabilities via a traditional phone system, mobile phone, tablet, laptop or desktop, Nextiva is looking to seamlessly integrate all communications including but not limited to online fax solutions, SIP trunking and both audio and video conferencing.”

In an effort to set itself apart from others in the rapidly growing VoIP space, the business VoIP provider is paying close attention to the key goal of making, owning and running a small business easier, less costly and more profitable.

So how does the company do that? By providing next-generation solutions that were once too expensive and unattainable to the small business market, complete with amazing service.

“We are unlike traditional phone companies in the sense that we don’t nickel and dime our customers,” Masjedi added. “There are no required contracts or termination fees, instead we power a month to month service where we essentially need to provide value to customers every day to remain in business. And I feel like we are doing a great job of doing just that.”
