Webinar - Attunity, OPSWAT Partner to Offer Multi-Engine Malware Scanning

A partnership has been announced between information availability software solutions provider, Attunity (News - Alert) Ltd., and OPSWAT Inc., a multi-engine malware scanning solution provider. The two plan to work together to combine Attunity’s Managed File Transfer (MFT) with the OPSWAT Metascan file scanning technology.

The combined solution is expected to streamline file sharing and protect all information in the process. In fact, as a fully-managed solution, it will secure, automate and accelerate file delivery across partner portals, business users, business applications and even cloud ecosystems. Highly-regulated industries will benefit with the new solution as it enables easy deployment of virus and malware scanning within the process of transferring files end-to-end.

"Through our partnership with Attunity, we are able to deliver a joint solution that effectively empowers customers to incorporate multiple-engine malware scanning into their file transfer workflow quickly and easily," said Jeff Garon, director of Sales and Product Marketing at OPSWAT, in a statement.

Garon also noted that the new platform uses four to 20 different antivirus engines to complete file scans. The detection rate for all malware types is increased without the need to modify, license or maintain multiple engines. Customers have the ability to quickly and thoroughly evaluate files for potential threats through a scan completed with Metascan. In industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Utilities and more, the added protection such a solution can provide will help to create significant demand.

Attunity customers will have easy access to a robust, turnkey solution thanks to the strategic collaboration with OPSWAT. The delivery of information is also quick and secure, according to Garrick Herrmann, Attunity’s VP of Sales. And, the high fidelity built into the platform allows for seamless transfer between external and internal networks. Plus, customers gain access to an extensive portfolio of policy-based scanning, inspection and policies, while benefitting from OPSWAT’s security capabilities.

OPSWAT built a solid reputation providing simplified and comprehensive SDKs that reduce costs and time necessary for testing and engineering teams. The company wants to share its knowledge on protecting information and maximizing malware detection through the scanning of multiple antivirus engines.

To that end, OPSWAT is offering a free webinar, “Add More Depth to Your Defense: Maximize Malware Detection by Scanning Data with Multiple Antivirus Engines,” scheduled for Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM EST / 11:00 AM PST. Register here to be sure you don’t miss this insightful event.
