Webinar - TMC, Sangoma Present a Webinar on the 'Best' Way to Develop and Deploy Applications

NORWALK, CT (June 2, 2011) -- TMC, a global, integrated media company helping clients build communities in print, in person and online, and Sangoma announced today a webinar event entitled “Determining the “Right” Development/Deployment Platform for Your Voice and Media Applications,” which will be held live on Wednesday, June 8, at 2 p.m. EDT/11 a.m. PDT.

This complimentary webinar, sponsored by Sangoma, examines the pros and cons of many of these environments to help developers and operators choose the one that might be “right” for their particular need. Ever since the first Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) platform was deployed over 20 years ago, there has been an ongoing debate regarding the “best” way to develop and deploy applications. Even today, the debate goes on with options to choose from such as Customers Premise Equipment (CPE), Hosted Solutions or placing apps in the cloud.

Developers must also consider Open Source (News - Alert) alternatives (Asterisk/FreeSWITCH) and more traditional “C” based proprietary APIs. There is also the option to develop and deploy using an XML or Web 2.0 (Ruby, Ruby-On-Rails, Adhearson) type of environment. Specifically, the webinar will examine the following criteria for each environment: scalability; reliability; ease-of-use and options for application development; flexibility and issues of vendor lock-in; and deployment, field maintenance and upgrade issues.
