Geomant, a UC software developer and system integrator specializing in Microsoft-based technologies, announced the availability of an enterprise call recording solution based on the Microsoft Unified Communications (News - Alert) platform -- Microsoft Lync. The announcement was made at the recently held Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto.
To develop this solution Geomant partnered with Verba, a call-recording specialist whose recording system is installed at more than 500 customer sites across 30 countries. "Most regulated and customer-focused organizations recognize the need to record certain inbound and outbound telephone conversations to maintain quality and compliance. The huge increase in the use of Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync as an enterprise voice platform has resulted in a pent-up demand for an enterprise-grade Lync Call Recording solution,” said Kevin Ross, Geomant's product director, in a statement.
The call recording solution is a passive, network based solution that does not have an impact on the call experience. Recording takes place centrally, and the recordings and associated data are stored securely for subsequent access meeting compliance requirements. Thanks to an online application, the recordings can be searched and reviewed easily.
Some of the features of the call recording solution include Quality Management, Desktop Screen Capture and pause and restart (for PCI (News - Alert) compliance)."Having Geomant as a strategic go-to-market partner for our Lync call recording and quality management technology gives us additional momentum,” said Sam Daroczy, director of Business Development at Verba Technologies. “Verba products together with the Geomant contact center for Lync provide a unique integrated solution for our customers.”In another similar announcement recently prairieFyre Software has completed field verification trials for prairieFyre Contact Center for Microsoft Lync and AudioCodes (News - Alert) SmartTAP 2.0 call recording for Microsoft Lync.Officials with prairieFyre Software said that the combination provides a complete contact center solution for customers who have chosen Microsoft Lync 2010 as their enterprise voice platform. The software suite is developed on the Voice-over-IP and UC architecture of Microsoft Lync Server 2010.
