Nureva & AVer Partner to Combine Voice & Camera Tracking Capabilities

Improved virtual meetings are in great demand today as more hybrid workforces and remote learning capabilities are being used. In order to clearly hear and see speakers in a meeting space, advanced video and microphone technologies are necessary – otherwise participants won’t have the experiences they need and work and education suffers.

To answer to this need, Nureva, a provider of advanced audio conferencing solutions, has announced its HDL300 and Dual HDL300 audio conferencing systems can now integrate with AVer professional and AI auto tracking cameras. This adds camera-tracking features to their systems to better support hybrid working and learning.

Together the solutions will utilize Nureva’s sound location device API through its Developer Toolkit, and the AVer PTZ Link software, so sound location data can accurately and smoothly steer views to where people are speaking in the room. The combination will create better experiences for remote participants without speakers having to change their natural behaviors.

In larger spaces where multiple AVer cameras are used, the solution will automatically switch between cameras, so remote participants continue to have a quality experience and can easily follow conversations.

Benefits of the functionality being offered in an integrated microphone and speaker bar include preventing false targeting of sounds and the ability to place the components in an optimal location.

Nureva’s sound location device API was announced just last month and it is able to communicate accurate sound direction, location and level. Sound locations are reported several times per second so that automatic camera adjustments can be made to switch focus between multiple speakers.
