Political tensions have taken over the front page, from stimulus checks and supporting small business to election results and riots. Regardless of what side of the aisle people are on, we are all Americans, and we all are seeing struggle in our local communities. At a time of such uncertainty for so many, Granite Telecommunications is paying good fortune forward.

Today, Granite announced its non-profit organization Granite Gives Back (GGB) unveiled Granite Gives Back Wellness 2021. The program will support Granite team members and their local communities and businesses during these trying times.

GGB has donated over $400,000 and 12,500 volunteer hours in just two short years since the 501c3 non-profit public charity’s inception. The newly announced initiative will take a number of different forms, from purchasing meals from local businesses for virtual events or sending care packages to Granite employees that feature locally sourced products, resources and offers.

"As the pandemic continues, its impact on our lives and livelihoods grows, with our friends and families experiencing ever-greater loss of loved ones, social opportunities, jobs and customers," said Granite CEO Rob Hale. "Granite Gives Back Wellness 2021 seeks to uplift mental, emotional and economic health by connecting our teammates with each other and local businesses and community resources."

The business community must bear some of the burden presented by the pandemic – well beyond digital transformation. Granite is stepping up to the place to support not only its team but their local businesses and communities as well.
