Sangoma Announces Asterisk 16 & FreePBX 15

Every year, AstriCon brings together the leaders of the open source community. Asterisk can boast more than two million downloads and a presence in over 170 countries. The free framework provides developers a robust platform to create communications applications, and as Orlando hosts AstriCon this week Digium’s new ownership is doubling-down on what makes it the chosen open source developers around the world.

AstriCon served as the stage for Sangoma to announce Asterisk 16 and FreePBX 15, unveiling the newest permutations of the two most popular open source communications projects. Sangoma also made it a point to highlight its urgency in integrating its products with both open source projects.
