A new voice assistant from R.R. Donnelley & Sons allows organizations to leverage voice-enabled devices like Amazon Alexa and Google Home to control their existing business communications solutions. It employs RRD's patented DC+ technology for ease of integration with businesses’ voice and unified communications platforms.

It can be used to:

• access statement content on smart devices;

• compare transaction-level activity by month, quarter, and year;

• connect with human-like service representatives to find answers to questions;

• engage with opt-in solutions and offerings;

• learn how to reduce bills;

• leverage self-service customer service;

• retrieve status updates; and

• set reminders across all smart devices.

"We are continually seeking new and innovative solutions that will help our clients build brand loyalty and strengthen the bonds that they have with their customers," said RRD Business Services President John Pecaric. "With our new voice assistant delivery solution, we are providing a new way for our clients to customize the content and delivery of their messages to meet the ever-evolving preferences of their customers.

“In today's environment, that means providing customers with access to important information like bills and statements in the most seamless way possible - through a direct conversation with the smart devices already in their homes," he added.

In making the announcement about the voice assistant, RRD noted it recently unveiled the SuperDoc web enhancement capability as well. That uses RRD's DC+ technology to provide customers with access to transaction-level content and acts as a secure website add-on that embeds customer-facing PDF statements, bills, policies, letters, and other transactional communications.

RRD offers business communications services and marketing solutions. It has more than 50,000 customers and 43,000 employees across 34 countries.
