Uboss Offers SIMs for BroadSoft Integration

Uboss now offers cellular GSM SIMs that can be integrated into BroadSoft hosted PBX user bundles. That, Uboss explains, can enable service providers to unify their hosted PBX and mobile operations.

That’s important, Uboss says, because it means a single bundle can address subscribers’ wired and wireless requirements. As a result, service providers can sell more to and build tighter relationships with their customers.

“We all understand the importance of mobile first in our go to market strategies, but for service providers, unifying wired and wireless from a provisioning and service orchestration standpoint has been hard to achieve,” says Uboss CEO Dave Dadds. “We believe the ability to quickly add new services and have them totally integrated is essential for service providers to maintain their competitive advantage as the market evolves.”

Uboss, which also provides a cloud-based management platform for cloud voice and application providers, enables cellular and fixed IP calls and mobile data to be tracked in real time within the user profile. Call recordings from mobile devices are captured and available in near real time on the platform. Uboss also manages billing for BroadSoft, cellular, and other services.

BroadSoft is an important company in the business communications arena. Many communication services providers rely on BroadSoft technology to power their business voice and unified communications solutions.

In its latest Unified Communications as a Service Magic Quadrant report, Gartner lists BroadSoft as a UcaaS Visionary. The research firm in this report says that BroadSoft and its partners have significant experience developing, deploying, and working in the UcaaS market. It notes the BroadSoft platform has a lot of features, is multitenant, scalable, and allows users to quickly be added and removed. Gartner also adds that BroadSoft brands are not well established in the enterprise realm, that its various offerings are complex to understand, and that many BroadCloud users are focused on VoIP with lower adoption of the richer mobile, web, and video components of the solution.
