New net2phone Effort Means Hosted PBX in Argentina

Hosted private branch exchange (PBX) service can be an excellent option for communications, particularly if the only other alternative is public switched telephone network (PSTN) service. Delivering hosted PBX, meanwhile, can represent big value for the companies that provide it as well, a point likely not lost on net2phone. In aid of that, net2phone recently brought out a new service in Argentina.

The service, known as Hosted PBX Unlimited, offers up unlimited calling within Argentina itself, as well as to 10 different but popular destinations around the world. That includes the United States, which is great news for anyone doing business with one of the planet's biggest markets.  Users also get access to low per-minute rates when it comes to calling cell phones in Argentina, along with an improved feature set. Users get access to voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) features as well as tools like auto attendant systems, find-me-follow-me mechanisms, and even voicemail-to-email services. Perhaps best of all, all of this is available for a simple monthly fee.

The service draws on both local Argentinian infrastructure—which is likely better than some expect—and cloud-based systems working in almost hybrid fashion to present a wide array of options for users. In turn, for anyone looking to make an upgrade from legacy phone systems, net2phone's offering should have just what's needed to access a much better option.

This is likely good news for both net2phone and its potential hosted PBX customer base in the region. A new service that offers a wide array of features for one comparatively low monthly fee could be a very attractive offer, depending on what else is available in the region. Given what all net2phone's offering, however, it would have to be an extremely potent competitor to address this level of capability. This is just about everything anyone could need, and though there's likely some room for a cloud-based system to get in here and offer many of these same features, net2phone may be able to seize and hold a large chunk of the market.

There's little doubt that net2phone has an excellent competitive advantage here, and one that will allow it a great position in the hosted PBX market going forward. There may be competition to come along, but that competition will be working from a position of weakness.
