IP-PBX and virtual PBX are replacing traditional telephony infrastructure in enterprises. Since IP-PBX is delivered through the Internet, it is extremely affordable and scalable, and it delivers more features and flexibility. There is no need to purchase expensive equipment, so if a business relocates, there is no PBX equipment to move, no phone numbers to change and no downtime.

As the market for IP-PBX grows, communications solutions providers are keen to explore new avenues in this emerging market.

Xorcom, a manufacturer of business telephony interfaces and appliances, partnered with TelOnline, a selected partner of Digium, Asterisk maker, to deliver an integrated IP-PBX and property management system (PMS) certified by Micros Fidelio solution in the hospitality sector.

Xorcom manufactures IP-PBX solutions based on Asterisk Open Source software. The company is able to deliver flexible range of solutions and hardware platforms in the Asterisk market.

“Our new partnership with Xorcom will allow customer to combine an incredible guest services platform,” said TelOnline’s president Juan Carlos Castañeda. “They will be able to manage all guest service, increase revenues and lower cost while taking the guest experience to a new level.”

TelOnline provides a number of communications services including VoIP telephony, call centers, automatic dialers, recording systems, embedded software development for telephony, integration and assembly of CRMs, video conference and more.

The advantage of the IP-PBX solution is that it provides customizable guest experience. The guest name appears to the check-in room. You can also activate guest voicemail box.

The Asterisk-based solution integrates business’ data network. It leverages existing infrastructure and is compatible with leading PMS package.

The self-service capabilities allow staff or guest to set wakeup calls. The built-in room state system provides control of room status and maids.

The IP-PBX system can also empower guests with instant information thanks to the built-in and fully integrated call accounting system with adjustable rate tables.
