XO Communications, a provider of managed network, IT infrastructure solutions and advanced communications services, has been selected by 1-800-Registry, a Las Vegas -based wedding planning, honeymoon travel and non-traditional registry services, in order to deploy a virtual PBX and cloud contact center solution.

With these solutions in place, the company will gain access to a more robust, enterprise-class, cloud-based solution to meet its various communications and contact center service needs. The service also helps the Internet-based registry deliver the efficiencies needed to manage costs with its growing business.

The service includes a complete solution – delivered all the way from the XO network to the VoIP and call center services – with a simple, predictable per employee pricing. It includes features like advanced IP telephony, contact center and unified communications applications, voice and network services, IP desktop phones, and direct access enterprise voice calling features including click to call, forward, transfer, single number reach, and anywhere access to communications.

1-800-Registry also benefits from the cloud-based platform as it provides a virtual contact infrastructure to support its call center agents and is fully integrated with the company's Salesforce.com system, giving it instant access to client account information when they call.

"A key advantage of the integrated Hosted PBX and Cloud Contact Center solution from XO Communications for us is that it required no capital expenditure and helped lower operational costs,” said John Bamforth, chief technology officer at 1-800-Registry, in a statement.

The service is highly reliable and is completely managed by XO. Bamforth added. “We are firm believers in using cloud-based services and XO demonstrated that its solution provides the performance and reliability we need."

Since the services are delivered via the cloud, 1-800-Registry does not have to buy, install, manage or maintain the PBXs, servers and other equipment.

In fact, the combined XO PBX and the Concentric Cloud Contact Center solution has already helped 1-800-Registry reduce costs and simplify the management of communications needs. As a result, it can now dedicate more of its resources and personnel on running its core business.

"We are pleased that 1-800-Registry has entrusted XO Communications to help them simplify their communications infrastructure and deliver both cost savings and operational efficiencies," commented Don MacNeil, chief marketing officer at XO Communications.
