The New York Jets Head Coach Robert Saleh has a saying, “All gas, no break.” As a driving philosophy, it’s questionable, but as a recipe for success, even Julia Child would be proud of the results. SASE joined the dialogue a few months before COVID-19 appeared, and since, service providers show no signs of slowing, pedal to the metal positioning for market dominance.

Palo Alto Networks is a SASE flag-bearer, and today extended its portfolio with the addition of an enterprise-grade cybersecurity solution delivered via premium mesh-enabled Wi-Fi 6 system – Okyo Garde.

The new release integrates into the Prisma Access platform, to assist the enterprise in extending corporate networks, introduce unified security policy management and SASE to ensure reliable, secure connectivity for the remote workforce and propel productivity for what Palo refers to as a “branch of one.”

The home office is a mainstay. While your home office will have the necessary devices, it does not have an IT teams, nor does it have the appropriate security protocols in place. Okyo Garde creates a separate, private Wi-Fi network for the family, with a dedicated connection for employees.

"As the world moved to remote work a year and a half ago, it became clear that cybersecurity would need to follow workers home. We quickly and quietly assembled a team of some of the best consumer tech engineers and put them together with the exceptional teams who built Palo Alto (News - Alert) Networks top security products. The result is Okyo Garde. It shows up as beautiful hardware and an easy app. But under the hood, it's pure world-class security with constantly updated threat intelligence — the same technology that secures some of the world's largest companies, banks, hospitals and the rest of our 85,000 worldwide customers," said Mario Queiroz, executive vice president, Palo Alto Networks.
