Rotherham Council Transforms Customer Operations With 8x8 XCaaS

Cloud communications leader 8x8 revealed today the Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is utilizing the 8x8 XCaaS ™ (eXperience Communications as a Service™) platform to refine business activity and elevate customer experiences across South Yorkshire.


Similar to other businesses and government organizations across the globe, Rotherham Council previously relied on outdated, legacy telecom infrastructure to support operations for more than 260,000 local residents. However, recent trends toward remote activity made Council members realize employees required cloud support to boost business operations effectively.

The Rotherham Council decided to modernize with 8x8’s XCaaS platform to provide agents with a fully loaded contact center system, as well as distributed workforce/collaboration support, secure payment support, and analytical features to continuously improve operations moving forward.
