8x8 Selected New Cloud Communications Provider for Anaheim Ducks

Following the footsteps of fellow NHL teams, The Anaheim Ducks and Honda Center have announced a new partnership with a cloud communications provider to help transform employee and customer experiences through cloud technologies outside of the rink.

8x8, a cloud communications platform provider, plans to enhance the Honda Center’s cloud infrastructure through its integrated cloud voice, team chat, meetings and contact center solution. The Ducks worked closely with Insight Enterprises to access the demands of the organization, shifting away from on-premises communications and contact center solutions in favor of more practical cloud technologies.The decision to move beyond legacy communications should come as no surprise, as cloud technology has skyrocketed during the pandemic.

Both the Ducks and the Honda Center will take advantage of 8x8’s cloud technologies such as deep reporting and analytics, SMS capabilities, and enhanced voice quality. The Ducks also plan to use 8x8 cloud communications services for post-game press conferences. The overall goal of the partnership is to improve fan engagement, create reliable service, all while working remotely.
