Pac-West Telecomm, which sells wholesale telecommunications services, announced during ITEXPO East 2011 that US Phone has selected Telastic from Pac-West for its call center business.

“Our rapid growth created the need for an upgrade to our systems for supporting our customers' call center operations around the world,” said Wilkin Acedera, CTO of US Phone. “Telastic provided us with a set of service-based call center IP-PBX features, and was up and running for us right away." Acedera said the Telastic service-based approach "provides us a pay-as-you-go pricing model that allows us to continue our rapid growth without concern for capital constraints.”

US Phone is a communications provider based in California, serving customers worldwide through offices in Brazil and Columbia, distributing a suite of IP telephony software, solutions and applications.

Pac-West's Telastic on-demand telecom service set is delivered as fully managed services, self-managed services and infrastructure services. The set includes such telecom service components such as a feature-rich SBC, white-label VoIP and IP-PBX services, certified third-party applications and telephony infrastructure as-a-service offerings.

In December TMC's Rajani Baburajan wrote that Terrapin Solutions, which designs cloud tools for businesses based on technologies from cloud telephony, cloud computing and managed services, announced it would partner with Pac-West Telecomm, a provider of communications infrastructure services, to make the Telastic white-label hosted IP/PBX service available to Terrapin’s more than 1,400 nationwide agents.

The Telastic hosted IP/PBX is the flagship of the Telastic Turnkey Application environment and a cornerstone of Pac-West’s Telastic carrier enablement solution set, company officials said. Telastic's hosted IP/PBX features a pay-as-you go pricing model that requires no up-front capital expenditures, allowing businesses to escape the economic barriers that have traditionally plagued the industry, they added.
