Webinar - Securing Data Centers with Encryption

Security is only becoming more challenging. So are data centers. That’s why now is a perfect time to look at what’s happening to better secure data centers and the applications and information that are served by them.

That is precisely what Hewlett Packard Enterprise aims to do during its upcoming webinar “Evolving Encryption Key Management Best Practices for the Data Center”. This live online event will take place Thursday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. EDT/10 a.m. PDT.

Encryption is in high demand these days, notes HPE. But employing encryption in the data center is not an easy equation. That’s due to the wide array of data and environment types out there, which includes both physical and virtual network resources, and the complex encryption key management scenarios that exist, such as centralization. Add to that compliance requirements and internal needs, which require compartmentalization and separation of keys, and you have yourself a significant challenge on your hands.

But HPE Security and its special guest Securosis will help webinar listeners more easily navigate the encryption challenge. They’ll present research on best practices for managing encryption keys for protecting data-at-rest; offer help on how to provide the right key, at the right time and location, and without compromising security; and explain how HPE Enterprise Secure Key Manager can be leveraged by customers who are looking for a certified, validated, and trusted key management solution.

“Cybercrime, mobile data access, cloud services, and other realities of doing business in a connected world make securing sensitive data more complex—and more critical—than ever,” says HPE. “A well-rounded enterprise security plan includes strong storage encryption. When data-at-rest is encrypted, the audit risks of policy compliance, financial losses from a breach, and damage to your business reputation are reduced.”

Featured webinar speakers Securosis CEO Rich Mogull and Nathan Turajski, senior product manager of HPE Data Security, will explain how to realize those results.
