Webinar - What You Need to Know about Session Border Controllers and Microsoft Lync

More and more companies are taking advantage of voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications in the workplace to provide better quality communications and cost savings. These companies are learning the importance of session border controllers to increase the quality and security of communications. At the same time, many businesses are implementing Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync in order to make their business communications more efficient. Companies that are taking advantage of both of these solutions will likely have questions about how they work together.

Companies that are unfamiliar with session border controllers might wonder what benefits they provide and how they are used with Microsoft Lync. They might wonder what a survivable branch appliance is and why it is important. In fact, session border controllers can connect companies to SIP trunks, helping save money, protect assets and secure networks. They route calls in and out of your VoIP network while you migrate to a Lync environment. Session border controllers are important devices for your network, protecting, securing, simplifying and standardizing real-time SIP-bases multimedia communications, ranging from VoIP to video.

For companies that are interested in learning more about session border controllers and their interactions with Microsoft Lync, Sonus, a company that brings SBCs to the enterprise, will be conducting a free webinar, “The 5 Critical Facts About Integrating Session Border Controllers with Microsoft Lync.” The event will take place on Tuesday, September 25 at 11:00 ET. Attendees to the event will learn the role of an SBC in the enterprise and in SIP trunking, what companies should look for in their SBCs, what Microsoft Lync integration means with an SBC, and what features an SBC needs in the Lync environment. Kevin Isacks, vice president and chief development officer at Sonus will be speaking along with Mykola Konrad, director of enterprise product management at Sonus.
