Webinar - SIP Trunk Implementation for the Enterprise: What You Need to Know

When the enterprise approaches the need to integrate its network with SIP trunks, certain challenges arise. While the benefits of cost savings, network efficiencies, and all the pluses of unified communications are associated with SIP trunk implementation, it’s necessarily more difficult for an enterprise to contemplate a smooth integration because of size.

Challenges can lie in several aspects including E911 applications, legacy voice applications, or PBX (News - Alert)-to-network communications, and making all these pieces work over SIP trunks becomes the IT task.

The enterprise is not known for its swiftness in implementation processes especially ones regarding VoIP communications and voice technology, but ultimately, the enterprise will benefit enormously by making the move to implement SIP trunks over its network.

One of the problems lies in the lack of education surrounding SIP trunk implementation and interoperability. A recent webinar explored such a topic for telecom and IT managers, or any decision-maker that plans on implementing a SIP trunking solution.

The webinar included Steve Carter from XO Communications (News - Alert) as a speaker. As a long-time participant in the world of SIP trunk deployment, Carter was able to provide insight into the most relevant issues facing the enterprise in this regard. Ensuring that SIP trunk deployment benefits the enterprise is the end result of many key factors, and Carter discussed certain best practices business leaders should consider.

Check out the webinar for more information on the challenges and benefits facing the enterprise deploying a SIP trunk solution.
