Webinar - 911 ETC Webinar to Explore New Technologies and Impact on E911

Technology is constantly evolving, and telecommunications is no stranger to this movement, as POTS transitions to VoIP, CAMA trunks move to SIP, and traditional PBX (News - Alert) gives way to unified communications.

While significant advantages come with these changes, so do risks, especially when it comes to E911. Through this evolving door of technology, an individual in charge of telecommunications or risk management within an organization must consider an array of factors when it comes to protecting employees and remote workers.

A leader in E911 hosted solutions, 911 ETC will be hosting an informative webinar, entitled “New Technologies: How Do They Affect E911?,” that will explore new technologies and how each can be easily and cost-effectively addressed for E911.

Scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. PDT, the webinar will cover why organizations should configure for E911 before migrating to VoIP, and the steps for doing so; the benefits of SIP trunking and E911; how to ensure remote workers are protected with E911; E911 items to consider when corresponding with telcos; requirements for ongoing E911 management, and the pros and cons of a third-party provider; and risk management issues and ongoing E911 legislation by state.

Telecom directors, risk management directors, small business owners, IP telephony manufacturer sales staff, and resellers and consultants are encouraged to attend this webinar, which will also feature the opportunity for participants to ask questions.

“Our core business has always been to help organizations ensure that they’re providing accurate location information with every outgoing 911 call placed, whether that call comes from a remote worker several states away or from their front office,” Karina Yandell, vice president of Business Development for 911 ETC, told TMCnet. “911 ETC has been assessing the best solution for our clients since 1997 – laying out the best steps and most cost-effective path to take.”

“This webinar provides a great opportunity to hear from our experts on the most common issues that arise and how best to handle them, along with time for Q&A. Ensuring that your organization is fully compliant for E911 can seem like a daunting task but regardless of the variables, a solution is available that can be easily implemented and maintained if done correctly,” she added.
