Consolidated Communications Adds Product Industry Veteran to Board of Directors

Broadband and business solutions provider Consolidated Communications has announced the appointment of industry veteran Marissa Solis to its board of directors. She brings years of product and marketing experience, and fits strategically with the company's plans to grow and advanced consumer relationships.

Effective January 24, 2022, Solis will be the eighth member of the company’s board of directors which also includes: Bob Currey(chairman), Bob Udell(president and CEO of Consolidated), Andrew Frey, David Fuller, Thomas Gerke, Roger Moore and Maribeth Rahe.

Consolidated Communications provides solutions businesses and consumers demand. From high-speed internet to phone, security, cloud and wholesale carrier solutions. They also have a network spanning 50,000 fiber route miles.

Commenting on the recent news, chairman Bob Currey said, “Marissa’s extensive experience in marketing management, omnichannel and digital engagement, brand strategy and strategic partnerships will be a tremendous asset to our Board of Directors.”

Solis is currently the senior vice president of global brand and consumer marketing at the National Football League.

In her past, she has worked with leading brands in the U.S.& Latin American markets. She began at Procter and Gamble in Latin America and also held marketing roles at Deloitte Consulting and Pepsico.

She has been recognized with numerous industry awards for achievements throughout her career. Most recently, as one of the Most Powerful Women in Sports by Ad Age, and has received a TrailBlzer award from She Runs It for her work launching a product line that exceeded $1 million in its first year.
