The pandemic placed a premium on modern, multichannel communications, demanding the tools capable of supporting the remote workforce. Microsoft Teams Direct Routing continues to build momentum as a preferred method to transform operations with improved productivity.

This week, Patton announced the SmartNode session border controllers are now certified for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing. The Patton portfolio of SBC solutions touts interconnection with any PSTN or SIP service to enable external voice calling.

Working with Patton, means working with a proven solution provider that integrates to anything – from cloud to on-prem and everything in between and promises the peace of mind of a “no headaches” experience.

“With a Patton session border controller Teams solution, organizations that use Microsoft Teams can choose with confidence any business-class telephony calling service they prefer,” said Buddy Oliver, Vice President of Product Management at Patton, “with no worries about interoperability delays during implementation or troubleshooting headaches during operation.”

2020 marked a year of innovation at Patton, with big plans for the remainder of 2021 as the expected release of Audio-Visual-over-IP (AVoIP) products.

Mr. Oliver explained, “Patton has been building VoIP products for almost two decades. FiberPlex has been creating pro-AV solutions for many years as well. Since we combined forces in 2017, it totally makes sense to build unified communications products with Dante-powered AV-over-IP video capability.”
