Altus to Resell Webex Calling to US Businesses

October 01, 2019

Businesses across the globe are growing exponentially thanks to advanced communications capabilities offered via the Internet. With VoIP communications, telephony and voice capabilities are better, more reliable and cost sensible.

In a move to expand the reach of Cisco Systems WebEx Calling, the company recently selected Altus to resell the solution to businesses in the U.S.

The Nashville, TN-based company is one of the first providers to offer the services in the North American market and will help midsize and enterprise customers as they transition their communications services to the cloud.

“We are really excited to launch Webex Calling in partnership with Cisco,” said Brian Jones, the company’s CEO.

“If you look at what Cisco has done putting the global leader in VoIP calling, BroadSoft, together with Webex, the global leader in meetings, the offer is really compelling.

The new partnership is an extension of the companies existing collaboration.  Altus is powered by Cisco’s BroadSoft platform - an architecture for cloud phone systems that makes it possible to bring VoIP to more businesses.

According to company officials, they are working to deliver what business customers today demand and that is simplicity and interoperability of their communications applications - regardless of physical location.

With Webex Calling, users have group messaging, unlimited domestic calling, fully featured business phone systems and access to Webex Teams for workspaces that remain connected from wherever employees are located.

Additional offerings like web conferencing and contact center services can also be added to the offering for businesses requiring them.
