Vonage Ventures to Japan

The proliferation of cloud communications is afoot! The feature-rich, reliable, scalable and pocket-friendly nature of this burgeoning technology makes it difficult to resist. With its growing popularity come markets ripe for the picking.

This week, Vonage announced its first location in Japan. The cloud communications provider placed its new digs in the Business Airport Marunochi, and named HiroShige Kusomoto as Country Director. APAC is a key region for Vonage, Kusomoto and regional General Manager Sunny Rao are tasked with expanding this presence.

"We are focused on expanding our offers globally to deliver a full suite of cloud communications solutions to help businesses increase collaboration and productivity among employees and enhance connections with customers for deeper relationships that drive better business outcomes."

Most recently, Kusomoto spent eight years with Vidyo as its Country Manager in Japan, where he played a vital role in the video and collaboration company gaining a presence in the region. He is well versed in region’s dealings, touting a total of 25 years experience working in operations, sales and product management within the Japanese market.

With the growing adoption rates of cloud communications, and the highly competitive landscape providers are put to the test to support the droves migrating to the cloud, and do so with a future-forward unique feature set and then some.
