Domino's Turns to Unified Office

There's no doubt that when a lot of people think about pizza, they think about Domino's Pizza within a couple tries. Domino's is a big name in pizza, and so it handles a great deal of call volume every day, let alone every year. Recently, Domino's took a big step forward in augmenting its virtual PBX capability with a new connection to Unified Office and its line of systems.

Unified Office is well-known in the field as a provider of managed services, ranging from Internet of Things (IoT) systems to analytics tools to virtual PBX and beyond. With the new arrangement, three new Domino's Pizza franchise groups—specifically, Domino's Team New Bedford, Domino's Team St. Pete, and MAR Pizza in Los Angeles—have all added the IoT Operations Performance Suite known as TCNOPS to currently-operating systems.

TCNOPS itself, meanwhile, isn't so much a virtual PBX tool as it is a complete IoT operational performance suite. It's specifically geared toward quick-serve restaurants, as well as many other types of small and medium-sized business (SMB) to step up performance in both operations and overall effectiveness.

Several new functions are included with the system, including a slate of alerts and reporting features that increase transparency into the overall operation. It's particularly well-suited for use with the Total Connect Nowsm system offered by Unified Office, a communications platform that offers top-notch system resiliency.

Unified Office's founder and CEO Ray Pasquale commented “Unified Office is pleased to help Domino’s store personnel increase their customer engagement and to drive operational performance in ways that have a positive impact on their top and bottom lines. In today’s highly competitive quick service restaurant marketplace, timeliness and excellence in customer service are key drivers of customer loyalty and growth in same store sales.”

Here, Pasquale raises an excellent point. Improving the overall customer experience is vital for a highly competitive field like food service. With so many options already available, even a small loss in customer experience can send a customer packing for a competitor. When it's that easy to “take your business elsewhere,” businesses have to respond with a customer experience that's the best of the breed to take advantage of inertia to keep current customers in play and draw in new customers from lesser-serving firms.

Keeping the customer happy is the big job, and tools like TCNOPS and other such tools from Unified Office is helping firms like Domino's both raise the bar and keep it elevated. That's good news for the company, and particularly for its customers, who get their pizzas fast, hot, and at least somewhat tasty.
