Mitel and EOH Bring Cloud Communications to South Africa
The cloud is taking over communications around the globe. The most recent country to embrace cloud communications is South Africa, thanks in large part to Mitel and EOH. Mitel, a provider of real time business, cloud and mobile communications, announced recently that it is expanding its cloud portfolio in South Africa through a new partnership with EOH, South Africa’s largest technology and knowledge service integrator.
This partnership was inspired by South Africa’s rising workforce. The region’s economic marketplace is growing, which has been resulting in increased cloud adoption for enterprises. However, no matter how much the cloud grows, businesses will always gravitate toward small price tags. That’s why the partnership is designed to deliver low-cost solutions scalable for any size business; this will ultimately provide flexibility and allows companies to address future changes in requirements easily.
Due to the rise in economy and cloud adoption, the mobile workforce in South Africa has also grown. That’s why MiCloudSA, powered by EOH, works to enable productivity from anywhere: “Fast-moving companies become leaders by seamlessly connecting their employees with colleagues, customers, partners and suppliers—no matter where they are,” said Andy Bull, Managing Director, South Africa, Mitel. “Mitel’s cloud solutions not only provide easy access to the tools they need to get the job done, but are designed to foster productive collaboration and innovation while improving the bottom line.”
The partnership offers several collaboration tools and a consistent user experience across desk phone, smartphone and PC/laptop environments. According to the announcement, this should allow users to “easily connect teams, work more flexibly and gain greater agility for quickly responding to changing customer and market dynamics.”
EOH is excited for the partnership and the opportunities it will bring to South African businesses. “The partnership with Mitel allows us to provide impactful services to our customers within South Africa and Africa, which is important to us,” said Rob Godlonton, CEO of Information Communication and Technology. “One of our business philosophies at EOH is to ‘lead and grow’ and partnering with Mitel has allowed us to do this.”
