Birch Adds Collaboration Features to TotalCloud PBX Platform

Communications service providers are adding collaborative features as part of their offering to address the way today's workforce are working. Birch Communications is providing the service with its new TotalCloud PBX Hub, which is part of its TotalCloud PBX Platform. With this new feature, end-users will be able to communicate across different channels in and out of the office on any device.


The addition of the TotalCloud PBX Hub is part of the overall enhancement Birch has implemented in its TotalCloud PBX product suite to target small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with cloud communications solutions.

The TotalCloud PBX Hub app has advanced voice and video calls, conferencing, screen and file sharing, and instant messaging. These options can be accessed from any device with some of the most useful calling and conferencing features.

With the hosted PBX the "find me/follow me" function will ensure you never miss a call. And when you are ready to make a call on your mobile device, it won't share your mobile number.

The conferencing features have also been simplified with a virtual meeting room that doesn't require complicated bridge numbers and passcodes for team members of the company to meet, chat, share desktops, and talk with voice and video. For participants outside of the organization, they can join by simply clicking on an invitation link.

The improvement in TotalCloud PBX includes putting all unified communications and collaboration (UCC) tools into a single virtual meeting room. To ensure service continuity, if there is a local service outage, the phone system is designed to default to mobile solutions, for immediate backup. Additional services have been integrated to its TotalCloud PBX Executive Seat, TotalCloud PBX Professional Seat and TotalCloud PBX Merchant Seat to target the different needs of businesses.

One of the biggest challenges businesses face today is finding the right communications solution to bring together the technology that is available in the marketplace. Managing these channels and touch points of communication can get complicated, with conferencing, mobile phones, land lines, emails, SMS and more being used at any given time.
