Aavaz Releases SugarOnTop, Offering PBX Options for SugarCRM

Aavaz—which means “voice” or “song” in Arabic, Persian and Indian—recently brought out a sweet new offering for its SugarCRM customer relationship management (CRM) tool, giving users access to a slate of private branch exchange (PBX) options. With plug and play ease of use and installation, the new appliance known as SugarOnTop is ready to make all those calls that go out really count toward driving revenue and profitability.


SugarOnTop is designed to work alongside both premise-based and hybrid cloud dialing operations, offering professional-grade call management tools for even the small and medium-sized business (SMB) market. It offers support not only for outbound calling operations but also for inbound ones, allowing businesses to both improve marketing functions but also after-sales support operations. Those interested in getting started with SugarOnTop won't have long to wait, as it will be available starting in July. Aavaz's cloud-based version, which works particularly well with Sugar, is available right now, so users can start taking advantage of Aavaz's various tools immediately.

Keith Mintzer, Aavaz's general manager and co-founder, noted “Our suite of voice solutions is designed to increase agent efficiency through ease of use and intelligent tracking and follow up. Aavaz can increase outbound telesales performance for our clients by as much as 50 percent It enables callers—both onsite as well as virtual—to be trained and become fully operational in less than 30 minutes. All that is needed is internet connectivity and a soft phone to be operational.”

Adding PBX tools to a CRM system makes its share of sense. After all, making contact with the customers in a CRM tool is central to properly using a CRM; it comes back to the notion that having data—the data in this case contained in a CRM—it really has no value unless it's put to work. With the extra PBX tools, SugarCRM should become a more valuable system overall and thus improve the likelihood of users bringing it in on current operations. Given that Aavaz offers several communications tools like enhanced dialer and interactive voice response, it's clearly got experience working both the inbound and outbound sides of the calling fence.

Thankfully, we won't have long to see what kind of impact SugarOnTop has with the current user base, if it will pull in fresh users, and if so, how many. Still, the value proposition looks sufficiently sound and should mean plenty of new users coming on board to put Aavaz's tool line to use.
