Aastra Unveils New Virtual PBX Solution Tailored for the Higher Education Market

Aastra, a provider of virtual PBX services, recently introduced both its Clearspan unified communications solution and the Aastra BluStar Ecosystem for video and mobility collaboration.


While both solutions were developed from the ground up in order to meet the individual needs of the higher education market, the Hosted Clearspan UC solution is offered by Internet2, an operator of the nation’s fastest, coast-to-coast research and education network. It provides all of the applications an institution’s employee’s need at any of the locations where they work and on any of the devices they use.

Additionally, the Aastra BluStar Ecosystem consists of the 8000i Desktop Media Phone and BluStar clients for PC, iPad and iPhone. It offers organizations a comprehensive, end-to-end UC solution with a versatile client that can be used across devices. The solution also offers a totally natural collaboration experience and fully embraces trends such as BYOD, helping users work together more effectively.
