VoIP Services, Virtual PBX Gain Popularity among Business Customers

A recent survey conducted by WhichVoIP, which provides information on different communications services including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), virtual PBX and more, further confirms the already established fact that VoIP services are becoming more widely implemented among business customers.

Surveying a wide range of business VoIP customers to better understand their needs and expectations from service providers, the research shows that more and more businesses are replacing traditional telephones with VoIP solutions.

Businesses are attracted to several benefits offered by VoIP such as cheap domestic and international calls, as well as no requirements for in-house PBX hardware and related maintenance that is needed for traditional telephony systems. Typically, with a VoIP system in place, a business can make 75 percent of all international calls over the Internet.

According to nearly 80 percent of those surveyed, the price of VoIP services has drawn them to further analyze the service, while 60 percent of respondents said they are impressed by the value added features offered at no extra charge.Knowledge of the sales staff and friendliness of salesperson were also cited as the favorite reasons for migrating to VoIP offerings.

In addition, the survey findings indicate that VoIP or virtual PBX vendors should be prepared with better selling points that can be shared with potential customers who are still skeptical about VoIP and its many useful features, WhichVoIP added.

“This is real data from customers telling us what they would like from providers –not only in terms of service, but also in terms of the sales process,” said Mike Bragg, CFO of WhichVoIP, in a statement. “Business VoIP service providers who seek business customers can benefit greatly from the information our survey revealed.”
