Let’s face it: government has a lot on its collective plate. Whether it’s local, state or federal, the obstacles presented by our divisive political climate are great, but divided has historically been known to deliver some of the best results. Today, QOS Networks made the State of California’s job a little easier.

The State of California announced the selection of VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud as its network platform of choice and QOS Networks – a VMware platinum partner and sponsor of SD-WAN Expo 2019 – will be the managed services provider for agencies deploying SD-WAN.

“QOS Networks is dedicated to delivering not just the latest technology solutions, but offering customers a unique and exceptional experience,” says CEO of QOS Networks, Frank Cittadino. “Working with the State of California is an exciting opportunity not just to bring new solutions to their network, but to deliver their digital transformation.”

More than capable of delivering the necessary network components of orchestration, edge devices, gateway devices and managed services, QOS earned a big win with the state contract. The SD-WAN service provider beat out a barrage of RFP respondents with SD-WAN expertise, its ability to execute and exceptional customer service.

Now, all CGEN state agencies can deploy next generation solutions – like VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud – free from worry. QOS is responsible for all the heavy lifting, from collecting the proper hardware, designing and configuring the network, and deployment, to network monitoring, carrier SLA management and troubleshooting.

“We are very pleased that the State of California has picked VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud as the platform of choice for their network,” said Sanjay Uppal, vice president and general manager, VeloCloud business unit at VMware. “We look forward to working with our partner QOS Networks to help the State of California realize the full benefits of SD-WAN.”

While the WAN won’t fix our broken government, SD-WAN will at least afford the network performance required to empower officials to better serve their electorates. Well done, California.
