Bandwidth to Acquire Voxbone

Enterprise cloud communications company Bandwidth has announced it’s intent to purchase Voxbone for $527M. This latest move is part of the company’s push to become the leading global provider of enterprise communications and will allow Bandwidth to expand its coverage to over 60 countries.

In addition to representing 93 percent global GDP, Bandwidth will also power 11 out of 12 of Gartner’s Magic Quadrant Leaders for UCaaS, CCaaS, and Meeting Solutions enterprises.

According to company officials, the transaction is approximately six times the anticipated Voxbone 2020 revenue and is expected to close on October 31, 2020. Once completed, Voxbone will operate under the Bandwidth brand.

Voxbone is a European-based communications platform and IP voice network provider. The company’s compliant, quality coverage helps simplify global communications for businesses and makes it easy to integrate into any contact center, conferencing platform, or voice application.

Now Bandwidth can help more companies with their global transformations. IDC projects worldwide spending on communications as a service to be $17.7 billion by 2024. With the acquisition, they’ll be able to help with development, launching, hyper-scale applications, and improving customer experiences using rich voice and text.
