In recent years, India’s Tata Communications, part of the Tata Group parent organization, has achieved double-digit annual growth in the unified communications and collaboration (UCC) managed services segment. Its success hasn’t gone without recognition. This year, it was named a leader in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Services, Global, as it has been for the past six years.

More recently, Frost & Sullivan named the company as Asia-Pacific Managed Unified Communications Service Provider of the Year. The award was presented in November at the annual Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific Best Practices Awards banquet in Singapore. Each year, Frost & Sullivan identifies winning companies based on in-depth research conducted by its analysts. The award categories are designed to reflect the current market landscape and include new emerging trends. For the Asia-Pacific Best Practices Awards, the candidate companies are evaluated on a variety of market performance indicators which include revenue growth; market share and growth in market share; leadership in product innovation; marketing strategy and business development strategy.

Tata Communications was chosen because of its track record for helping organizations define their technology architecture and delivering results in a cost-effective way, according to Frost & Sullivan. Currently, Tata’s customers represent 300 of the Fortune 500.

“As a managed services provider, Tata Communications manages to bring together a complete end-to-end portfolio of services with necessary customization expertise for enterprises to address their evolving needs and manage complexities around their transformation journey,” said Krishna Baidya, Head of Connected Work Research, ICT at Frost & Sullivan, in a statement. “Its breadth and depth of Unified Communication and Collaboration portfolio, strength in connectivity, and proven track record of delivering holistic solution that drives business outcome, helps them appeal to broader needs of the enterprises.”

What Tata strives to do well is take the complexity out of UCC and provide customers with an end-to-end offering that helps enterprises overcome the complexities of adopting the latest UC platforms, and pave the way for truly borderless and seamless collaboration.

“To be recognized by Frost & Sullivan for our work here is humbling,” said Peter Quinlan, VP of Business Collaboration for Tata Communications.
