Businesses with multiple locations face some unique challenges in communications today.  Because employees and partners may be scattered in multiple locations or even in home offices, it’s important to find a phone service that supports everyone’s needs.  Many companies take a piecemeal approach to theirphone services, attempting to tie together different systems or providers for each store or office.  This gets expensive, confusing and limiting – not to mention complicated for IT staff to manage and maintain.  To be part of the twenty-first century, businesses need a solution that connects systems in multiple places that can be controlled from one central location.  Today’s cloud-hosted VoIP phone systems are an ideal solution, as they eliminate the need to purchase and install equipment for each location.

There are many cloud-based PBX providers to choose from, so it can come down to reputation, reviews and references.  Nextiva, which provides a complete suite of hosted communications services, consistently garners positive reviews for its affordable service.  Reviewers have noted that Nextiva has implemented an unlimited call and fax feature on all its plans, so customers will never fall prey to hidden fees and overtime charges.  They also say the company keeps its promise to save businesses 65 percent or more on their phone bills.  A recent review noted that some of the only drawbacks for Nextiva were the complexity of its pricing models and a lack of 24/7 support.

“Nextiva does have its drawbacks, including its confusing multi-tiered pricing system, and its per-user/per-extension pricing, so that customers pay for each extension they want to add,” according to the review.  “While their support is often touted as friendly and helpful, they don’t offer 24/7 phone help, meaning that customers might be out of luck if they find themselves on the wrong side of the continent or outside of business hours.”

That said, Nextiva claims a 94% satisfaction rate for its support services among its customers, which includes a dedicated specialist to help get services set up and working properly.  Its tiered pricing strategy is in line with what has become standard across the industry to provide flexibility to meet the needs of any business.

The same reviewer did note that, unlike many VoIP and virtual PBX providers, Nextiva offers a vast range of packages to support any number of virtual business phone requirements, and voice quality was rated as excellent.

“HD quality calling comes standard with all Nextiva packages, and indeed their sound quality doesn’t disappoint,” noted the reviewer.  “Dropped or missed calls are rare, and reviewers have reported that no disruptions occur – even when their bandwidth is stretched to the limit.”

The ultimate verdict on Nextiva’s service? “Tricky pricing but worth every penny.”
