Vonage Adds 19 New Patents
Innovation in communications solutions is coming at a fever pitch. Our digital age demands a constant cycle of innovation from cloud communications providers. Take Vonage for example. This business cloud communications provider recently announced 19 new patents, bringing its grand total up in the United States alone to over 170.
Let’s take a deeper look at some of Vonage’s recently received patents:
- Pat. No.9,667,802 provides VoIP capabilities with dedicated Location Routing Numbers, which empowers direct interconnection and exchange between non-carriers – this way companies can keep a “consistent discourse with carrier and non-carrier networks.”
- Pat. No. 9,661,0335 offers improved visibility into the path of incoming callers. Take customer service for example, if a customer is transferred between various agents and departments, this patent provides for the ability to see how a customer’s call is processed and received.
- Pat. No. 9,742,823 aids in identifying speakers on a conference call by leveraging identification information associated with each caller
These are only a few Vonage’s newly minted patents, but it is clear to see that this is not a firm to sit on laurels. Instead, Vonage is pioneering the next generation of cloud communications.
"Vonage's recently granted patents have the power to enable businesses and other users to employ the cloud as reliably – and with more features and functionality - as traditional telephony solutions," said Alan Masarek, CEO of Vonage. "Vonage's recent breakthroughs also have the ability to add rich capabilities to help deliver an enhanced experience for businesses and their customers. We're excited to continue to innovate and explore the possibilities of these services."
Vonage is one of a number of cloud communications providers playing pivotal roles in the development of future-forward and feature-rich communications solutions fit to meet your business needs of today, and capable of adjusting for the requirements of tomorrow.
