Tata Communications Releases White Label SIP

The communications market has always been about being able to build products and services with the latest innovations – all faster than competitors. In this age of digital communications, the dream of building effective products quickly has never been more possible because it is easier than ever to tie third party-developed goods with major telecoms’ ambitions.

The latest partnership that follows this pattern comes between Tata Communications and, well, all comers… Telecoms can now outsource their needs for a unified communications package by taking advantage of the recent release of Tata’s Global SIP Connect service. In order to instantly upgrade their own availability of unified communications (UC), telecoms simply need to call Tata, order Connect, and use that white label product as their own. Clients can customize their UC as they see fit and potentially save some money in the process.

Anthony Bartolo, the president of collaboration and mobility at Tata, commented on the global demand for such communications services and the ease of use that Tata can now offer its clients.

“As demand for cloud-based unified communications continues to soar, SIP trunking is becoming a critical tool for businesses looking for best in class voice services,” Bartolo said. “Global SIP deployment can be time consuming and complex to execute due to interoperability and regulatory challenges, and our new white-label offering enables service providers to overcome these challenges on a global scale while eliminating the huge cost of building new solutions from scratch.”

His last point hammers home the point that constructing a new product from the ground up can consume a lot of time and resources. In the fast-paced nature of the global market, there is no time for telecoms to waste on in-house products unless they have a unique need for something that third parties just do not offer. The majority of telecoms should find that SIP products like this can accommodate their needs.

After adoption, carriers should find themselves immersed in a $3.5 billion market that shows no signs of slowing. Enterprises both want and need this type of communications support to keep inter- and intra-office conversations brewing that ultimately support their business models. It isn’t just the telecom market that must move quickly here; it is only the reality that telecoms must stay one step ahead of the enterprises they serve.

The viability of this cloud-based service becomes more apparent with the reality that all Tata services should work well with one another. This means that Tata’s future white label products such as its Tata Communications with Skype for Business can further enhance telecoms’ base offerings while continuing to allow their entire portfolios of products to interact smoothly.
